After two and a half decades abroad, a professional couple returned to Vancouver and chose an unoccupied West Side house as the setting for their next chapter. From purchase through design and construction, the transformation was coordinated virtually.

Intermind Design reimagined the interior around a generous open plan. Platforms, ceiling changes, built-ins and decorative panelling define individual settings, while a sculptural spiral staircase brings movement through the home. Wide-plank white oak, marble surfaces, distinctive lighting and travel-inspired murals balance refinement with a relaxed West Coast spirit.

Outside, a refreshed white exterior, black windows and a custom-stained front door establish a new identity. Kitchen doors open onto a generous deck, extending everyday life outdoors. Renewed building services support a home shaped around the owners’ experiences and their return to the city they had missed.
